“How You Can Help”

April 30th, 2010

People ask me all the time, “What can I do to help?”  Here’s an answer:  find the candidate you like, and walk the neighborhoods with them or make phone calls for them.  If you live in Ohio, here are several candidates who have called us for help.

First, there’s Justin Wooden who is running for U.S. Congress.  He is trying to unseat Betty Sutton (who has voted for everything in Nancy Pelosi’s agenda).  He needs volunteers NOW to walk the precincts or make phone calls.  He can defeat Betty Sutton in the Primary on May 4.  Please contact his office at 330-414-5524 and ask Debbie how you can help.  Justin’s website is www.wooden4.congress

In local government races The Liberty Committee is pleased to endorse two more candidates.  There are several seats available on the Summit County Council, and TLC endorses Gloria Rodgers and Mendy Palumbo.  Gloria has been an RN for 40 years and currently is the councilwoman for District 3 in Summit County.  She is staunchly pro-life and is committed to lower taxes and a less intrusive government.  She understands that local government needs the common sense of people who know that government cannot do everything for everyone all the time.  You may contact her at grodgers73@neo.rr.com or call 330-472-2649.

Mendy Palumbo is also pro-life and desires to create a business-friendly environment through lower taxes and sensible regulation.  He is a benefits and wellness consultant, and understands that crushing government interference and reckless spending destroys the future of all people.  You can reach Mendy at mendy.palumbo@att.net or 330-419-0693.  His website is www.mendypalumbo.com

Together with Amy Schwan, Gloria and Mendy will work as a team to create a business and family friendly environment in their local government.  What can you do to help?  Start by just sending these great candidates a note or give them a call!  May 4th is almost here.
