In an August 20 report to the UN Human Rights Commission , Secretary of State Hillary Clinton used a Department of Justice lawsuit against the state of Arizona to question human rights violations in that state. Arizona’s now-famous law, which upholds federal law in arresting illegal aliens, is currently being contested by the Department of Justice. Hillary Clinton apparently is siding with the nation of Mexico and her boss President Obama in contending that this law somehow is illegal, or unfair, or mean, or tacky, or whatever. . .
However the crux of this new twist is that she is taking her case to the UN. Huh? The United Nations? Oh yeah, right. The same high minded United Nations that consistently places on its “Human Rights” commission thug governments like the leadership of Syria, Libya, and Iran. But why does Hillary Clinton somehow think that she and the State Department are accountable to the UN? We need the approval of the UN? The UN in its infinite wisdom and proven track record of peace, tolerance, and success can run our country so much better than we can, I suppose. Gee, and I thought we were a sovereign nation.
Meanwhile, just 30 miles from the border of Mexico, the U.S. Federal Government has erected signs in some places telling travelers that to proceed any further to the border of Mexico is endangering one’s life. Well, if the U.S. government were doing its job and enforcing the border, we would have no need for Arizona’s law, or silly roadsigns telling the world that we are not enforcing our own borders.
